Welcome to the website of plastic surgeon Jeffrey Goldstein, MD.
As a board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Goldstein has over 20 years of experience in both adult and pediatric plastic surgery as well as craniofacial surgery. Dr. Goldstein is a graduate with honors from both Harvard University and Columbia University Medical School.
Dr. Goldstein currently serves as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, and has applied for a full Professorship in Surgery at University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Goldstein was previously Chief of Plastic Surgery at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio (beginning in 1995) where he was bestowed a full Professorship in Plastic Surgery by Case Western Reserve University. There, he taught Plastic Surgery Residents from Case Western as well as the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Goldstein also teaches other Plastic Surgeons nationally and internationally and has given lectures and/or taught courses in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, and North America. He is also the author of more than 50 plastic surgery articles and book chapters.
Along with an array of national and local awards and recognitions, Dr. Goldstein was recently honored by being named by Best Doctors in America 2011-2012 in four categories. These four categories are Facial Aesthetic Surgery, Craniofacial Surgery, Pediatric Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery. He was again chosen as a Best Doctor in America for 2013-2014 for both pediatric and adult plastic surgery.. Dr. Goldstein is currently the only board certified plastic surgeon named as a Best Doctor in America in the metropolitan Kansas City area.
Dr. Goldstein has repeatedly been named a "Top Doctor" in the United States by a number of evaluating organizations including those who use other plastic surgeons and doctors as judges.
Dr. Goldstein's specialties in pediatric plastic surgery include cleft lip, cleft palate, craniofacial disorders, craniosynostosis repair, congenital ear deformities, protruding ear repair (otoplasty), facial fracture repair, vascular anomalies, head and neck tumors, pediatric hand surgery, burn reconstruction, gynecomastia surgery, and removal of birthmarks. Adolescent rhinoplasty and nasal reconstruction are of particular interest to Dr. Goldstein.
